FOUR SEASONS SCOTTSDALE: Hotel Review

Pool at Four Seasons Scottsdale

Partaking in an annual girls trip to Scottsdale is not only one of my favorite weekends of the year, but it has also allowed me to check out all the best resorts in Scottsdale. We were excited to explore the Four Seasons Scottsdale to see how it compares. While the service and accommodations scored highly, the spa experience, which is a huge part of the trip, left us all underwhelmed. Despite the lackluster spa, I would still include the Four Seasons Scottsdale on my list of top hotels to explore in Scottsdale.

From the moment you arrive, you're greeted with warm hospitality and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The resort's adobe-style architecture blends harmoniously with the desert surroundings, creating a sense of tranquility and connection to nature.

ROOMS

Room at Four Seasons Scottsdale

Accommodations at the Four Seasons Scottsdale are nothing short of exceptional. Each casita and suite is elegantly appointed with Southwestern-inspired décor, plush furnishings, and modern amenities. Whether you choose a cozy casita with a private patio or a spacious suite with panoramic views, you'll find comfort and luxury at every turn. We found the double rooms easily accommodated three adults (who are close friends) with two double beds and a pull-out sofa.

AMENITIES

Relax by the three sparkling pools (one for kids, one for families, and one for adults-only) surrounded by towering saguaro cacti and sweeping mountain vistas. There is full food and drink service available as well, making it easy to spend the entire day lounging by the pool.

Every morning, be sure to stop by the lobby for complimentary coffee and pastries.

There is also a daily list of complimentary activities from hikes to kid’s crafts.

SPA

The spa is usually the focus of our girl’s trips to Arizona, and this one was particularly underwhelming. While the treatments themselves were wonderful, the lockerroom was cramped and they only had minimal facilities (steam room and sauna). If you’re looking to prioritize the spa above all else, I would definitely try another property in Scottsdale (we loved the spas at The Boulders and Fairmont Princess).

OUTDOOR PURSUITS

For outdoor enthusiasts, the Four Seasons Scottsdale offers a wealth of activities to explore the beauty of the Sonoran Desert. Embark on guided hikes through rugged desert trails, horseback ride through picturesque landscapes, or tee off at one of the nearby championship golf courses. We opted for a non-guided hike and were pleasantly surprised we could walk from the hotel on easily-marked trails to a beautiful hike.

EATS

We tried all three dining options, all of which were delicious. Indulge in authentic tapas and local cuisine at Talavera. We ate here two nights in a row and I’m pretty sure tried almost everything on the menu and nothing disappointed. The steaks were particularly delicious. Savor handcrafted cocktails and panoramic sunset views at Onyx Bar & Lounge, the perfect spot to unwind after a day of adventure. The pool restaurant has a limited menu, but the food was fresh and the poke bowls are highly recommended. The main restaurant is Proof, An American Canteen, which was their more casual option. Think bright lights and shuffleboard tables for entertainment. The food was hearty and tasty.

Whether you're looking for a girl’s trip, a family vacation, or a solo retreat, the Four Seasons Resort Scottsdale checks a lot of boxes to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the desert.
