Favorite Restaurants in Sayulita

While Sayulita has definitively grown over the years, it’s still small enough to walk to almost every restaurant in town. This makes it easy to sample all of the amazing food offerings this town has to offer. Read below for a list of our favorite restaurants (plus taco stands, ice cream shops and food carts) that Sayulita has to offer.

Organi-K is a great place for a healthy breakfast or lunch

Coffee

Paninos-opens early. Don’t miss the cinnamon rolls.

Breakfast

Organi-K has great smoothies and healthy lunch and breakfast options. Lots of vegetarian options.

Chocobanana- set directly on the square has hearty Mexican fare and the kids meals come with the OG Chocobanana.

Yah Yah Cafe-Delicious smoothies and avocado toast on a quiet street near the plaza.

TACOS

El Iticate- Specializing in tacos, this restaurant is set in a newer building. While not cheap, they are also aren’t expensive and the quality is high.

Tacos Prieto’s- Another great taco place. Don’t miss the fish tacos.

Mary’s Tacos- Dont miss the garlic shrimp and chile rellenos.


DINNER

Barracuda- Right on Sayulita’s main drag and serves fresh seafood in a casual atmosphere.

Si Senor- Set on a platform directly over the water in a beautiful setting and serving traditional Mexican food.

La Rustica-Charming ambiance with great food. The pizzas were delicous.

Ice Cream

Buonnisimo gelato in Sayulita

The gelato at Buonissimo is the perfect post-dinner (or surf) treat

Buonissimo, on the main street near the square has wonderful gelato. The acai bowls are also worth a try.


Street Food

There are also some amazing food carts around Sayulita that you should definitely check out. The churro chart in the town square is a musit-visit after dinner. There is also a wonderful food cart selling birria near just north of Ally Cat Sailing headquarters.

If you’re feeling adventurous, the beach vendors sell some amazing oysters that you can watch them carry out of the bay.
